6 THINGS YOUR BUSINESS IS NOT DOING ON YOUTUBE.

YouTube. It’s huge. In fact it’s the second largest search engine under Google, so finding your videos amongst all of that content is like finding all those missing socks in the wash.

Ive put together 6 top tips to help surface your videos and increase view count and overall exposure.

Appealing and relevant thumbnails. Try adding text to a bold, clear and relevant screenshot or photo of your video. But remember there’s nothing more annoying that seeing a thumb of a super cute kitten who after clicking on never makes an appearance in the video.

Promote. Never forget to mention at the end of your video to ‘like’, share, subscribe and comment on all of your videos. This will increase audience interaction and engagement.

Fun fact: Doing this will increase the likelihood of someone liking or sharing etc by 3x. Science bitch.

Use tags correctly. When tagging your video, research trending or popular tags to increase the likelihood of your video appearing when searched for. (You can find some pretty nifty online tool to help ya). Search will also recognise words in the ‘about video/description’ section so make sure you write a decent paragraph here.

Annotations. Add annotations to the beginnings and ends of you videos that can link to your channel, ask questions (what should I edit next?) or even watch the next/previous video in its series.

Playlists. Create playlists, creating playlists for you videos is a great way to boost views. Videos in playlists will automatically play once the other has finished and often will be left on a loop.

Titles. Create engaging titles for your videos. Much like thumbnails, titles are a crucial way to draw the attention of passersby. Create an engaging title and you will attract a greater audience.
